Via the utilization of innovative IoT technology, the “IOT Heart Attack Detection & Heart Rate Monitor” project aims to offer a continuous, real-time monitoring solution for identifying possible heart attacks. Based on the Atmega Microcontroller, this system manages data from the Heartbeat Sensor and functions as its central processing unit. In order to provide the microcontroller with crucial data for analysis, the sensor continuously monitors the user’s heart rate. The system may transmit notifications via the internet to a mobile application or remote server for prompt action in the event of anomalies that could be signs of a heart attack due to the ESP8266 Wi-Fi Module.

Several essential hardware parts facilitate the system’s functionality. While the circuit’s electrical signals are stabilized and filtered by resistors, capacitors, transistors, and diodes, the crystal oscillator guarantees exact time for the microcontroller’s operations. Users can read system notifications and real-time heart rate data immediately on the device thanks to the LCD Display’s user-friendly interface.

All of the system’s components are electrically connected to one another properly using connectors and cables, which are built on a PCB and breadboards. LEDs provide visual cues about the status of the system, and a transformer or adapter provides the electricity. Manual control and user interaction are made possible by push buttons and switches. Furthermore, different control functions inside the system are made possible by Integrated Circuits (ICs) and the sockets that house them.

IoT capabilities including data visualization, alarm generating, and remote monitoring are managed by the IOT Gecko Platform. By combining hardware and software, this system offers a complete approach to heart attack prevention and early detection, improving patient safety and bringing comfort.
